How We Approach Siding Decisions

Match the material to upkeep

Vinyl siding may fit a lower-upkeep exterior, while wood siding may suit a specific texture or design goal. We discuss the tradeoffs before setting the scope.

Separate repairs from replacement

Panel damage, trim problems, or underlying carpentry can change the work needed. We identify those items so the estimate reflects the actual property.

Use a written project scope

Our detailed written estimates explain the planned work. This is useful when several materials or related painting services are under consideration.

Know when siding is not the job

Siding work is not the right fit when the property only needs an interior coating or cabinet refacing. We keep those scopes separate.

The team at 365 did a great job painting our house. They painted the full exterior of our house, including all the trim, front door, and garage doors. Their color matching was spot on, and the front door and porch trim finish is perfectly smooth. They even did a nice job with caulking as well.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

Questions About Siding Materials and Project Scope

Which siding material fits a low-maintenance design?

Vinyl siding fits many low-maintenance design goals. PainterSammamishwa.com compares it with fiber cement, wood siding, and composite panels based on appearance, repair needs, wall condition, and the level of upkeep you want. Color, texture, trim, and openings also shape the decision. We document the selected material in the written estimate.

What should a siding estimate include?

A siding estimate should identify the material, preparation, repairs, trim work, protection, and cleanup. Our written estimate also separates related carpentry or painting tasks when they fall outside the siding scope. The property review helps connect visible damage with the work needed, so you can assess the proposal before scheduling.

How does siding work differ from exterior painting?

Siding work installs or repairs exterior cladding, while exterior painting coats a prepared surface. We may handle both services, but each has a different scope and preparation plan. Siding concerns include panels, trim, corners, and openings. Painting concerns include surface repair, primer, finish selection, and coating application.

When should siding repairs include carpentry?

Siding repairs should include carpentry when trim, edges, or nearby woodwork need correction. Our team checks the visible siding area and related wood parts before setting the scope. A repair plan may include both trades when the exterior detail cannot be addressed through panel work alone. The estimate lists those tasks separately.

Why might a property owner choose fiber cement over vinyl?

Fiber cement may suit an owner who wants a different texture, profile, or design character than vinyl siding provides. The choice also depends on wall condition, trim details, repair planning, and desired upkeep. We explain the practical differences during the consultation. No material is right for every property or design plan.

What changes the cost of a siding project?

Material choice, repair needs, trim details, wall condition, and related carpentry change the project cost. Our free estimate reflects the property's actual scope instead of a material choice alone. We review the exterior, discuss the design goal, and prepare written project details so you can see what the proposed work includes.

Who provides siding estimates for this service?

PainterSammamishwa.com provides siding estimates for residential and commercial properties. The process starts with a free consultation and in-home meeting. We discuss the exterior concern, review the planned work, and prepare detailed written project information. Related painting and carpentry services can be considered when they fit the same property scope.
